NewMexicoResources.org is a web site that provides detailed information about a variety of government-funded assistance programs available to low and moderate-income individuals and families living in New Mexico. It provides practical information on what benefits are available, eligibility requirements, how to apply, benefit amounts, and answers to commonly asked questions.
NewMexicoResources.org presents this information in a well-organized and logical manner. Select the type of assistance you are seeking from the drop down menu and follow the links to learn about the various federal, state, and local programs in New Mexico to help you. For some programs, you can also download an application form.
NewMexicoResources.org is an independent web site and is not affiliated with the U.S. federal government or the New Mexico state government.

NewMexicoResources.org currently includes information for the following types of assistance:
| Cash Assistance Programs: provide low-income families, elders, and the disabled with financial help for their basic needs, as well as support services. |
| Child Care and Preschools: offer free or low-cost programs to low-income families with children. |
|
Energy Assistance Programs: include fuel assistance, weatherization, and heating system repair services; and utility shut-off protection for families in special circumstances.

Food Programs: offer free food, low cost food, and information about good nutrition to low-income families and individuals.
|
| Health Care Programs: offer free or low-cost health coverage and services to eligible low and moderate-income families and individuals for medical treatment given by doctors, clinics, HMOs, hospitals, and pharmacies. |
| Housing and Homeless Programs: help families and individuals find permanent housing in safe, affordable public or privately owned units as well as temporary housing in emergency or transitional shelters. |
| Legal Assistance Programs: offer free legal help to low-income and elderly residents with legal problems concerning housing, government benefits, family law, consumer issues, or other non-criminal cases. |
| Tax Credits: help eligible taxpayers lower their taxes and, for some credits, can provide cash payments to workers even when they do not owe any taxes. |
| Transportation Services: public transportation helps individuals get to work, school, and medical appointments; information on services for those with disabilities, seniors, or others with special circumstances is provided. |
