How much will I get in monthly GA cash benefits?
The amount of cash benefits you will get depends on your family size, your living situation, and your income. The table below shows the maximum GA cash benefits you can get (called the "Standard of Assistance"), according to your family size.
The actual GA benefit you will get is the amount shown in the table for your family size minus your net countable income.

In the month of August every year, dependent children ages 6-19 will receive a $100 clothing allowance to help with getting the child ready for school that year.
For how long will I receive GA benefits?
There is no set time limit for GA benefits. However, the ISD will review your case on a regular basis, usually every 6 months. It will also review your case if it believes there has been a change in your eligibility.
Are there emergency GA benefits that I can receive the same day?
No. The first month’s GA cash assistance payment is posted to your EBT account on the first working day after the date of authorization. The first month’s GA cash assistance payment is prorated from the date of application.
